Ravna Gora

This highland is situated in central Serbia, at the mountain of Suvobor.
Ravna gora has paid its tribute to the historical past events. On this mountainous region there is a forester home, a newly built church of st.Great Martyr George and it is the birthplace of the modern Chetnik movement under the leadership of Dragoljub Mihailović in 1941. Ravna Gora was the site of a celebration marking the 50th anniversary of VE day in 1995. Among others, the celebration was attended by Major Richard L. Felman of the United States Air Force who was one of approximately 417 US airmen rescued by the Chetniks during World War II.
Mokra pećina – (Vet cave) – is in the region of Ravna Gora and presents its most valuable spot. It is situated on the left side of the river Grab as the only hydrographic element of the region. In Mokra pecina there is the river`s spring. The length of the cave is 395m. A stream is flowing all along the cave.
