Filming of the documentary “Hero 1914”
It was a pleasure to open the doors of our household for the film crew “Hero 1914”.
Year 1914, Austro-Hungarian aggression on Serbia. Who is the ordinary Serbian soldier, a farmer, in the first year of the First World War? What he eats, where he sleeps, how is he armed? How much does he daily march, how does his chamber look like, and what is the artillery that supports him? What is waiting for that soldier and peasants in the hospitals? What is the relationship between government and officers to him, and what is his relationship with them? How does he fight the battles of Cer, Drina and Kolubara? And, how does the ordinary Serbian soldier, farmer – the least equipped fighter in the First World War – manage to take the biggest victory in 1914?
